NSS About

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of the Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. It provides opportunities to students in colleges and universities in India to take part in various Government-led community service activities & programmes. The primary objective of developing the personality and character of the country’s  youth through voluntary community service. ‘Education through Service’ is the purpose of the NSS.

The motto of National Service Scheme is NOT ME BUT YOU

The College has two active National Service Scheme (NSS) Units – NSS Unit-I & NSS Unit-II.

It is a fully voluntary association of students.

At present there are two program officers for the two separate units: Mr. Zubber Ahamed, Program Officer Unit -I and Mr. Tapash Mandal, Program Officer Unit -II.

The total Intake capacity of the NSS units in the institution is 100 (50 for each unit).

For joining either wing of the NSS students must apply through an application form.

There is no application fee for NSS. The tentative time for admission is July-August, after completion of the admission process of the new academic session.
