It is my great privilege to welcome you to Dewan Abdul Gani College at Harirampur. It is a matter of great pleasure for me as the Principal to serve this institution of higher education.
Originally founded in 1975 under the leadership of Dr. Jainal Abedin who was then the Minister of West Bengal, this college was finally recognised as a Govt. Aided Institute of Higher Education in 1994.
Over the last three decades since 1994, the college has grown both academically and infrastructurally. Recently in June 2024, this college has been awarded B Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
This institute takes pride in having a dedicated team of qualified teachers assisted by an efficient non-teaching staff to properly guide young learners.
The NCC, NSS Unit-I and NSS Unit-II remain active in community services and extension activities throughout the year under the dynamic guidance of the respective officers.
I pledge to remain true to the Vision & Mission of Dewan Abdul Gani College and dedicate my services towards building and sustaining a diverse, inclusive and intellectually agile community.
